5 Ways To Grow Your Faith When You Don’t Know Where To Start

It’s weird growing up within the church. getting to a christian school , the adjoining church, and their youth ministries…you would’ve thought that I picked up a lesson or two on growing faith in God.

Yeah, all those years and zip clicked on behalf of me till years later!

It’s very ironic i feel . But also very frustrating! I mean where does one attend ask these questions when people assume that you simply should already know the answers!

Ya got me!

I’m 27 years old and let me tell ya that nobody goes to answer questions that go unsaid. It’s either up to us to form a choice to stay ignorant and stagnant (where I sat for many of my life), muster the balls and ask the question, or do the research yourself and see if you'll find the simplest answer.

As I’m getting older and a touch more wiser, emphasis on the small part!

I’m beginning to utilize the second option which may be a great point because I’ve always been really curious but over the years of fearing other people’s opinions. I pack up and stayed silent and stagnant.

Not anymore though! I’m breaking down those walls and screwing what anybody else cares me or my behaviors. goodbye as my great and awesome God and that i are cool then I’m good.

And since i would like to be the simplest Christian I are often and use this platform as best I can, then I realize that i want to possess a much bigger faith in God.

But like we were talking about before, I felt totally ashamed that I didn’t know the solution and that i didn’t want to ask! Eek!

So what options did I even have left? I could either sit and not learn anything or I could do my research and see what I come up with!

It’s not really a trick question to understand which one I chose to try to to .

I looked it up! I started reading from others who posted about similar struggles and from what information I could gather from that and trying them out over the past few weeks…

HERE ARE 5 WAYS TO GROW YOUR FAITH IN GOD.

These are just the simplest ways in which I’ve found a minimum of as a very good place to start! Some might work rather well et al. will just be eh. Make the choice for you and let me know what you’re ready to deduct from this post!

1. SET A TIME EVERYDAY TO DEDICATE TO PRAYER AND BIBLE READING.

Whether you’re a christian for 35 years or 35 minutes, there’s something you gotta realize this relationship business. It’s a two way street!

What does one do once you want something to urge better? like your relationship together with your mom, spouse, or best friend?

You make time, right?! You both make the choice to figure on the connection by spending time together and trying to know one another better, right?

It’s an equivalent thing with a relationship with God. he's not a magic genie during a bottle. He is GOD. That’s an enormous deal. And he has some high standards. But he wants nothing quite having a relationship with you.

You just need to show up and check out to follow his lead. Show up and provides him the time that he deserves.

Now I won’t mislead you, it’s getting to feel weird for a short time . Probably desire you’re lecture a wall. But all of your first dates were a touch awkward too, weren’t they??

It’s worthwhile though and honestly, the simplest place to start out .

Set time aside everyday.

Whether it’s quarter-hour or an hour, make the dedication and stick with it!

2. READ YOUR BIBLE

Just start here!

I’ve been paralzyed from studying my Bible because I always felt like i used to be doing it wrong.

Like there was alleged to be a magic word that was only given to the “IN” crowd and that they simply wouldn’t let me have it. I seriously would get so frustrated because i might sit and just stare at my Bible thinking that there’s nothing in there on behalf of me and if there's . I don’t know where to seek out it.

I gave up trying to review my Bible until I just sat down and began READING it.

No pressure, just reading. And it’s been incredible! I’m not a scholar of it by any means but finally after goodbye , I desire I can read it and just absorb what the scripture says and the way God uses it.

So don’t overthink it and just read the thing! Start on page one and go from there.

And once you get easier and conversant in the Bible, then you'll repose on that and begin to review the Bible!

I’ve actually stopped reading chapters and I’ve started going just by page count and I’m reading 6 pages now. It’s been working great! I even have a group time of half-hour every morning before 6, Monday through Friday. you'll try it and let me know what you think!

3. INVITE MORE FAITH

This one might sound a touch bit more like whhhaaaaaa are you talking about??

Well I’m paraphrasing here because that verse actually features a lot of excellent things to speak about but the purpose that I’m trying to form is this:

Ask God for more faith.

If you actually want it, God will provide. Just confirm that you’re prepared for subsequent steps.

I believe that once we ask God for something like more faith he’s gonna answer with tough times that forces you to show and appearance up to him.

4. TAKE THE TIME TO CONCENTRATE

Another thing that helps but also feels really weird is simply sitting in silence and trying to concentrate to God’s voice.

What i really like about this is often that it’s all about training our minds and hearts to specialise in God! And isn’t that what faith is all about anyway? Having an understanding of who God is and the way awesome and wonderful he is? which we keep sight of that even when it seems hopeless.

Sitting and listening gives you an opportunity to specialise in hearing the answers of your prayers but we all know that God isn't one for yelling, right? LOL Take the time to listen to his voice.

5. PRACTICE MINDFULNESS

I mean…keep your heart and mind open.

Don’t enter a time of devotion expecting something or trying to find something aside from God’s face and his will for your life.

But that's actually harder than it sounds! It’s very easy to only let your mind wander then it gets filled with other things that are gonna keep you distracted. And this is often one among those moments that you simply need to concentrate to yourself, study yourself, and proper yourself.

But this is often such a crucial a part of growing your faith! Don’t let yourself spend this point that specialize in things that aren’t associated with building that relationship with God.

The benefits of getting a robust faith are really immeasurable. I can tell you that my life has never been as clear or purposeful since I started performing on my faith in God.

It’s definitely something that I wish I would’ve started an extended time ago!

If you only do the work, I promise it gets easier! Set a fanatical time, read your Bible, pray about it, sit and listen, and be mindful about it! I’m at it almost everyday so you’re definitely not learning this one your own!!
