Lemon Balm

Lemon balm may be a favorite herb of mine for all of its various uses. Lemon balm has long been used for its calming effect on the nerves. It adds a deliciously light lemon flavor that always goes well with ginger. 


Green Tea

There’s tons of hype and a good amount of scientific studies surrounding tea . Admittedly, the entire ‘superfood’ thing tends to be trendy but there’s some real proof behind the hype here. tea is sweet for the brain and memory, may aid digestion, cuts the danger of diabetes, and far more.


Fennel Seed

Fennel seed is usually wont to the freshen breath but it's going to also reduce gas and help detoxify the body. All of those benefits during a small tasty package make it a perfect complement to the opposite flavors during this blend.

However, any tea would work. If using plain tea , add 2 Tablespoons of dried ginger pieces to the recipe below to urge a homemade ginger tea blend.


Other Lemony Herbs

If lemon balm isn’t your thing, you'll substitute dried lemon verbena or lemongrass. Both lemon verbena and lemongrass have similar digestive and nervine qualities while also providing the lemon flavor that goes so beautifully with ginger.

Ginger Lemon Balm Green Tea Blend

Ginger lemon balm tea may be a blend of delicious and healing herbs perfect for after meals to assist digestion and encourage relaxation.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Ginger Infused Green Tea
  • 1/2 Cup Dried Lemon Balm, crumbled
  • 2 Tablespoons Fennel Seed


Instructions

  • Mix everything together well.
  • Store in airtight container.
  • To drink, steep 1 tablespoon in hot water for 5 minutes.
