Healing Strategies For Empaths : How To Protect Energy

 Some time ago I realised i'm an empath.

Now what?

Now we heal, now we accept, now we thrive.

I will tell you my story as a sensitive person – an empath –


It was something I couldn’t understand – I am totally sensitive, intuitive, truly open minded, feel everything so deeply it hurts, often told by others that i'm way too sensitive, even weak, my emotions even made me physically ill. The one that thinks that there's such a lot magic during this world.


That kind of an individual who don't nod off in the dark until I find a solution to the question that worries me. Often, the issues i feel about aren't even mine. That sucks.


For some time it had been a continuing struggle – I picked up people energies and emotions like hell , I wasn’t conscious of that till it need to the purpose where my body felt so anxious I couldn’t breathe.


I understood something’s may be a bit an excessive amount of on behalf of me . But I couldn’t find the answers. I wasn’t conscious of it, that’s why i assumed there's something wrong with me.


When I dove deep into spirituality, it camed to me as an open book – i'm a sensitive , intuitive person, an empath – I feel everything, I absorb everything, i'm deeply connected to the Mother Nature.


Being an empath has two sides –

The magical side :

  • natural connection to the present Universe – nature, animals (I am so compassionate towards animals, I cannot endure their suffer)
  • spirituality seeking
  • compassion
  • inner exploration
  • great manifesting skills
  • amazing intuition

Not so magical side :

  • other feeling absorbation which results in an equivalent feelings (often times negative)
  • overthinking
  • absorbed emotions create physical reaction – like anxiety and breathing struggles
  • very sensitive to noises, crowds
  • mood changes supported surroundings


During this point of conscious understanding who i'm , I even have gathered some self care, wellness knowledge, totally for empaths, that helps me feel safe and asleep , protects my energy, allows my truest authentic self still to precise , and just feel good about myself.

DAILY GROUNDING EXERCISES

Daily grounding practices help me come to the present here and now – to my very own feelings, to my body, to my breath.


Grounding reconnects you to the world and your spiritual self to your physical self. you begin to feel calm and blanked with soothing, peaceful energy, which is what an empath totally needs.


Whenever I start to feel anxious and feeling like I live my life through someone elses lense, I find ways the way to ground my self, such as

  • practicing 4-7-8 breathing
  • moving in rhytm
  • walking barefoot
  • meditating
  • labeling surroundings
  • sitting within the sun and absorbing the daylight 
  • holding black tourmaline

Black tourmaline may be a crystal that protects from negative energy and intentions, clears the aura, grounds you.


I have alittle black tourmaline crystal in my pocket, so I can easily run my fingers along it whenever I feel the decision to.


HEALING SANCTUARY AKA ALONE TIME

Alone time restores balance.

For such compassionate people as empaths alone time may be a must to bring back their energy. Because it's so common for empaths to overextend themselves for people . you'll even schedule it if you are feeling such as you don’t have time for that.


It is way too important.

I myself create home as my sanctuary where I feel safe, protected, where my energy vibe high, where I feel recharged and rebalanced.


I decorate my place with flowers, crystals, I light incense, candles, i exploit essential oils – basically everything that creates me happy.


And then I do my soul soothing practices – yoga, meditation, dancing, journaling…


That is my healing sanctuary which is so sacred on behalf of me .


BOUNDARIES, BOUNDARIES, BOUNDARIES

Frequently people like empaths there's this problem – that if we truly and fully want to assist others, first we'd like to assist ourselves.

By helping ourselves I mean setting boundaries that protect your energy. We feel such a lot , so we must learn to line limits for ourselves to guard physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Boundaries for an empath would be :

  • be very picky about who you spend your precious time with
  • limit time with people that drain your energy
  • choosing healthy, peaceful and safe environment
  • as soon as absorbing people energy, practice all the possible healing strategies
  • learn how to mention ‘’no’’
  • put your needs first

Remember, that building healthy boundaries aren't a selfish act to try to to . It’s not your job to repair everyone. once we take time for ourselves, we will show up as better versions and may help this world thrive more as we thrive.


MINDFUL LIVING

Mindful living may be a favorite tool for anxiety, overthinking, overfeeling, overdoing.

Learning the way to live a mindful life opens a fresh door for conscious, calm and healed living.

Our minds get so cluttered from a day responsibilites, struggles, routines, that we just find yourself not giving much needed attention to our lives generally , we may even get depressed and lost, if we just rush through life, trying to take in everything and help everyone.

ENERGETIC FIELD CLEANSE

We all have our individual energy fields which will be suffering from inner and outter world.


As an empath, it's even more important to cleanse your energetic field from unwanted feelings, harmful emotions and negativity.


A way I practice energy cleansing is :


having an epsom salt + volatile oil bath, where I visualize any unwanted emotion being washed faraway from my being

smudging my body and residential with Bulnesia sarmienti 

Palo Santo is understood as ‘’holy wood’’. it's referred to as a smudging tool for cover , clearing, love, creativity, luck .


swimming in ocean, sea or lake. Nature heals the simplest
