SELF-CARE: taking care of oneself
Self-care is taking the time to worry for YOU. Is it selfish? NO WAY! Is there just one thanks to practice self-care? in fact NOT. How often are you able to practice self-care? AS OFTEN AS YOU WANT!Seriously though, i like to recommend practicing self-care every damn day! Why wouldn’t you usually want to be feeling your best?
It are often something as simple as reading a book for half-hour a day . Or it are often going for a walk every morning. Maybe it's starting your morning together with your favorite tea before breakfast. It can even be something once every week , like getting breakfast at your favorite restaurant every Saturday morning.
Sometimes life are often a touch crazy + I personally wanted to form sure you're taking a while to reset, recharge + refocus.
So i assumed I could host a 7 Day Self-Care Challenge to assist YOU practice some self-care.
DAY 1: Set 1 Goal To Accomplish For The Week
The start of a brand, spankin’ new week is that the perfect time to urge organized, prioritize what you'd like to accomplish + plan what you would wish to get done.
Write down 1 GOAL you would like to accomplish for the week.
It are often anything you want! I keep track of my goals in my bullet journal. It feels so good to see off progress towards my goals + i really like creating my very own tracker hebdomadally in my bullet journal.
The goal are often as big, or as simple, as you would like it to be.
Sometimes my goal is simply to travel to bed early enough to possess 8 hours of sleep + other times it's to write down a blog post to urge published. It really just depends on the week.
Whatever goal you set for yourself, get out there + #CrushIt this week!
DAY 2: Get Some Exercise
Why be MOODY once you can SHAKE YOUR BOOTY?!
One of my fave silly quotes, but seriously, exercise is sweet for your body + mind.
You will not believe how you'll change your entire mood, mindest + energy levels just by moving for 20-30 minutes.
Get a workout in. I personally enjoy yoga or weightlifting, but maybe you would like to steer round the block or choose a hike.
Do your thing, girlfriend.

DAY 3: Meditate For Five Minutes
STOP, HAMMERTIME!
I’m just kidding! But seriously, stop what you’re doing + meditate for five minutes.
By meditate, I mean sit down, close your eyes + clear your mind for five minutes.
You don’t got to sit down criss-cross-applesauce + say OOMMMMMMM to meditate.
Just pause, breathe, + clear your mind. it's important to clear your mind to assist relieve the emotions of overwhelm + stress. we will get so in our heads + worry about the silliest things.
Pause for a couple of minutes + just be.
This is my FAVORITE thanks to practice self-care.
I’m guilty of doing this every single day. Like, the sun won’t even fully be down here in Texas + my butt is already in bed watching Netflix or stalking Instagram.
Challenge yourself to travel to bed before usual, albeit it's only half-hour .
You won’t believe the positive effects sleeping early will wear your mind, thoughts + feelings. i really like it such a lot it’s a daily habit.
It helps me awaken feeling refreshed + able to combat my hectic workday.
Try it for yourself + see what proportion better you are feeling during the day. #MorningPerson
Some days we get down + during a funk we struggle to tug ourselves out from.
It helps to truly write down + physically see what + where we feel our happiness is.
Think of 5 things + write them down. [You can get crazy + write more down if you would like to]. It’s fun to try to to , I promise.
When you physically write down what causes you to happy, it helps you to ascertain that you simply are truly surrounded by plenty of happiness.
It may not always desire it once we are stuck within the daily grind, but confirm you pause daily to write down down the items that cause you to happy.

According to the “experts” you would like to drink 8 glasses of water each day . Other “experts” say around 1 GALLON is sweet for each day .
There are a bajillion “experts” out there so it gets difficult to understand what proportion exactly to drink, but i'm here to inform you, because the “expert” i'm , that you simply should be drinking enough to feel good + function. For me, that’s about 3/4 of a gallon of water.
[ I don’t specifically measure exactly what proportion water I drink, but I’m really lazy + drink water straight out of the jug from HEB rather than getting a cup so i do know I roughly get down 3/4 of a gallon per day ].
One thing I do every single morning is I start my day with chugging an enormous glass of water. you'll be amazed at how awake + energized you are feeling just from doing this one simple thing!
It is an excellent thanks to start the day, and confirm you're beverage throughout your day, too.
Water can help keep you feeling alive + working at your best. Carry around a gallon jug like me if you would like to. you are doing you, boo!

Reading is great because it gives you a brief time of escapism to either submerge yourself in an alternate reality or educate yourself with something new. it's an excellent thanks to distract yourself from the daily grind + enjoy a touch alone time.
