does healthy got to take
such a lot effort?
it struck me today that
we are nearly half way through 2016. half way. i do know we all say this all
the time, but wasn’t new years like, 2 weeks ago? and now i’ve planted flowers
already?.
i’ve never been huge on
resolutions, so i don’t usually desire i’ve failed at anything by june. but
this year i actually , desperately, wanted to possess a minimum of achieved ten
push-ups (even girly push ups, whatever, progress is progress) by now. but i
still can’t do one. not even one! i’d say it’s not for lack of trying, except
that if i’m honest, it's kind of from lack of trying. i even have a tousled
wrist (from a car accident years ago), and each time i attempted it had been
just too painful. but there are ways around that. i bought those funky push-up
helper bars that allow your wrists to remain straight, and that i only gave
them an honest effort maybe 4 times. it had been just soooo hard. so i left it
on the rear burner.
it’s not really about
being strong, or having great arms. it’s about being healthy. i would like to
try to to everything in my power to offer my body an opportunity to feel well,
to figure properly, so i can get the foremost out of my life. i understand that
there are many things far beyond my control… but what am i doing about the
items that i'm ready to control?
am i fixing enough
effort? numerous of the choices i make to stay myself healthy are literally
easy, painless things to try to to . maybe it doesn’t need to be that tough .
apart from this whole push-up fiasco, i even have some decently healthy habits
– i feel pretty pleased with myself! i actually do all of the items on this
painlessly healthier list. so maybe i can cut myself some slack. how bout you?
are there any of those painless healthy habits that you simply got to introduce
in your life?
10 Easy
Things I Do Everyday To Remain Healthy
1 – Take Your Vitamins.
it’s just not that tough . our western diet is (largely) lacking in nutrients.
albeit we eat pretty much , it’s unlikely that we get all the nutrition we'd
like from our food. i even have a reverse osmosis water system that creates our
water taste so great for drinking, but it also removes all the minerals from
the water. water is meant to be an excellent source of minerals! if you often
drink wine (or any alcohol for that matter) you would possibly be lacking in
magnesium as alcohol causes the body to lose magnesium. so take your vitamins.
i keep mine by the sink so i see them everyday, and everyday i take them with
breakfast.
2 – Eat Whole Foods.
albeit you don’t want to travel buy organic, you'll switch from processed to
whole and you'll still reap the advantages . whole foods will take you an
enormous step within the right direction towards getting some nutrition from
food. whole food is food the way it had been meant to be eaten. plus you’ll be
lowering on the chemical additives / preservatives in processed foods.
3 – Quit Pop. so i buy
that this could be the thing on this list that i’m calling “painless” that some
people will think is really pretty painful.but it’s on the list anyway, because
i think if you're regular pop drink it’s the sole thing on the list you've got
to try to to today. pop is that the one thing that i absolutely can't justify.
i can justify wine, chocolate, frozen dessert once during a while. and if i
used to be trying hard, i could even justify one alcohol now then . but not pop
as something to drink regularly. i do know you’ve heard it before, but i’ll say
it again, only for good measure. there are thirty-nine grams of sugar in one
can of coke. you’re daily maximum, (that’s maximum, as within the most that's
considered acceptable for your body) is 25 grams. meaning if you've got one can
of coke per day, you really can’t healthfully even enjoy a spoonful of sugar in
your coffee.
4 – And Exchange It For
Water. (You Knew That Might Get On The List!) Once I Was Maybe 18 I Read This
Book – you're not sick, you’re thirsty, and it changed my entire outlook on
beverage . the author (dr. f. batmanghelidj) tells us that beverage will cure
many of the “diseases” that are rampant altogether parts of the planet –
asthma, allergies, arthritis, hypertension, depression, headaches, diabetes,
obesity ect. and for many folks in north america (well, and europe, australia,
new zealand ect) we've quick access to water and it’s often free. we all know
that the advantages of beverage are real.
5 – Search For Natural
Remedies Before You Grab Over The Counter Chemicals. (i know there’s an area
for pills, i just don’t think they ought to be the primary thing we reach for.)
check out a natural anti-inflammatory like turmeric rather than ibuprofen, try
flavorer for headaches, apple vinegar for heartburn, kefir for digestive
problems and serenity formula for stress or anxiety (i wrote an entire post on
natural supplements for anxiety, because i think so strongly in them!). the
less chemicals your body must process the higher .
6 – Move Your Body. i’m
not suggesting that you simply start cross-fit if that seems like hell on earth
to you… i’m suggesting you discover something you genuinely enjoy doing that’s
a touch bit active. it might be dancing, swimming, walking, rock climbing… i
really like running. to me, it’s relaxing and invigorating at an equivalent
time, and it doesn't desire a chore. find something that you simply love, and
it won’t be hard to try to to .
7 – Appreciate That
Body That Moves. constantly hating yourself for being “too” much of 1 thing, or
“not enough” of another will only lead you down sad and dangerous roads.
healthy people are happy in their skin. that doesn’t mean they don’t want to
enhance themselves or still work towards their goals, but they are doing have
an appreciation for what they need today.
8 – Unwind With A Glass
Of Wine. But Only One , and preferably red. you can’t deprive yourself of all
the great things in life and expect to measure healthfully. if wine isn’t your
thing, otherwise you don’t do booze (in which case, good for you!), then maybe
frozen dessert once every week or so? have a treat and luxuriate in it.
9 – Crop On Tv And Your
Phone. Read More, Write More, Paint. play a parlor game together with your
person. to possess a healthy mind we'd like to let it wander into new places
once during a while. you would possibly even find you don’t miss the tv! i
certainly don’t. and staying off social media really helps with my anxiety.
10 – Prioritize Sleep.
This Is Often A Reasonably Recent Addition To The List On Behalf Of Me . it’s
only within the past four months approximately that i’ve really worked on
prioritizing sleep. i buy more sleep now than i did this point last year and
that i feel such a lot better. once i was sleeping crappy (my fault) i used to
be grumpy and everything i did just seemed hard. it’s difficult to place the
trouble into exercise or cooking or learning a book if you’re exhausted. get
some decent rest! plus your body restores itself while you sleep, so it is
sensible you would like to try to to this to be healthy.
i do this stuff more or
less stupidly about them now. i’m always trying to find new ways to treat my
body well, but sometimes it’s the only things (that we overlook) which will
provide the foremost benefit. any step within the right direction may be a step
within the right direction. so drink more water, and feel better about your
health right now!
